What are the HEAL hats about? The hats represent my dream of the HEAL Project. My mental illness was misdiagnosed at 11 years old and then again at 18. Throughout my life I made an agreement with God that if he healed me, I would heal others. While I did have a spiritual awakening, I also eventually got the proper treatments and medication. During the Pandemic, we were all traumatized and unable to have our needs met, creating a collective trauma.
The different colored fists represent unity. We were all traumatized and we can all heal. I recognized too that as I healed from the Pandemic, I healed from my life. The HEAL protocol I went through is repeatable. As I was healing I felt guilty for two reasons: I was aware of what to do and who to listen to, and I was able to afford cutting edge treatments.
My dream is to start a non-profit to grow awareness about how to recover from trauma, and make it more affordable so everyone has equal opportunity to heal. It’s too big of a project for just me and my Naturopath who is on board.
My goal is that other spiritual and thought leaders join me in creating a coalition of helping professionals to end mental illness, trauma, and racism. Healthy brains love other humans. And if enough people join the movement, America heals and transforms from a culture of fear and codependence, to a culture based on love.
